Join my bake if the recipe interest you out there. Very simple bake for the season. I did 2 different recipe test and later prefer my good old time favourite.
Ingredients
150g Kao Fen
250g icing sugar
50g Shortening
130ml cold water
1/4 tsp bananas essence
Filling
Salted Egg Yolk (Optional)
Lotus paste
Melon seeds (Optional)
Method
- Mix Kao Fen, icing sugar & shortening in a mixing bowl
- Add water & essence, knead into a dough
- Cut dough into about 50g each and wrap over lotus paste ball
- Press dough into mooncake mould and knock out for serving
